However, the unexpected departure of the cult-classics, House of Lies and Prison Break, in particular, caught the attention of subscribers, who regularly binged the two series.
According to an article on Netflix‘s official fan website, Tudum, both shows are leaving the streaming giant for good this month.
House of Lies, which per IMDb follows “a charming management consultant and his crack team use every dirty trick in the book to woo powerful CEOs and close huge deals,” is available on Netflix until January 23.
Currently, all five seasons of the Emmy Award-winning drama series, starring Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell, and Ben Schwartz, are available to stream.
The show originally aired on Showtime from 2012 to 2016.
Fans also have a limited time to catch up on the crime drama, Prison Break, as the series leaves Netflix on January 29.
It tells the story of structural engineer Michael Scofield, played by Wentworth Miller, who robs a bank to get himself locked up in a prison he helped design, so he could break his falsely accused brother (Dominic Purcell) out and save him from a death sentence.
Also starring Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, and Sarah Wayne Callies, the series premiered on Fox in 2005 and ended after four seasons in 2009.
Although Netflix will no longer stream these shows in the coming weeks, they are available on other platforms with a subscription.
House of Lies is also available for subscribers to watch on Paramount+ or to rent or buy on Amazon Prime.
Meanwhile, Prison Break episodes can be streamed on Hulu with a subscription or on Amazon Prime for rent or purchase.
Another binge-worthy show that got the boot from Netflix this month was Lost, which had Seasons 1-6 available to stream before its January 1 removal.
A string of films was also given the axe, including all three movies in The Hangover series, the Samuel L. Jackson-led sports drama Coach Carter, and the romantic comedy Crazy Rich Asians.
Netflix often rotates its extensive library to make room for other classics, as well as its own original films and TV series.
The streamer recently acquired the NBC drama Found, following the show’s cancellation in May after just two seasons.
Shows are often shuffled from their original networks to streaming services, as seen with the comedy The Paper earlier this month.

NBC had already renewed The Paper for a second season, though it replaced the series on its line-up for the new comedy, Stumble.
