Caitlin Clark had everyone hyped over her incredible putt at the Pelican Golf Club earlier this week.
The Indiana Fever Guard has developed a reputation as one of the most skilled shooters in professional basketball, but her shot-sinking abilities are hardly restricted to the hardwood. She’s also a stud on the greens.
Clark, the No. 1 overall pick by the Fever in the 2024 WNBA Draft, competed in the LPGA’s Annika Pro-Am for the second year running, playing alongside Jordan Jackson and Dan Towriss while bringing Indiana teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull along as caddies, which attracted a stalker and a deleted upskirt shot from ESPN.
She was paired with Nelly Korda for the first nine holes, with the latter talking up her impact on fans.
“That first tee was something out of a book, almost. But it’s so fun. It’s cool to see how many people she brings together to another sport,” Korda told reporters.
Far from being just a media spectacle, Clark gave a great account of herself.
Following a noteworthy drive, she drilled a putt that the Palm Beach Post reports was around 35 feet out.

Caitlin Clark Does Not Take Golf Seriously

As you saw above, the made putt resulted in plenty of excitement, from Clark herself, her caddie teammates, and the crowd.
She confessed that she doesn’t take golf seriously and goes out to have fun, which is actually quite scary. Because what if she did?
“Golf is a hard game,” she explained. “When you’re an amateur, you go to the course and some days your putting is something really good and some days your putting is really bad.
“And some days your driving is really good and sometimes your driving is really bad.”
“You never seem to have everything working all at once, but you just kind of figure it out and have fun. I don’t take golf serious. I have fun with it,” she added.
Clark did not have that much fun during the WNBA season. Her second campaign in the pros was hampered by injuries that kept her off the floor for most of the term, while she also found out what the league commissioner really thinks about her.
The guard, who plans to represent Team USA at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, told the Palm Beach Post she is doing a lot better.
“Now feeling back to 100% so been trying to take advantage of the fall weather in Indianapolis before it gets too cold,” she said.
