Jake Paul keeps finding ways to stay relevant, from the Mike Tyson to Nick Diaz fight, and now he’s booked against Anthony Joshua for December 19 in Miami. On paper, it’s a massive mismatch, a YouTuber turned boxer facing an Olympic champion and two-time unified heavyweight champ. Talking about it, boxing champ Oleksandr Usyk shares that he is praying for ‘The Problem Child’.

While speaking to BoxingScene, Usyk didn’t hold back. When asked about the fight, he said Joshua would kill Paul. He explained the gap clearly, saying Joshua is an Olympic champion, while Paul is a mix of sportsman, YouTuber, and showman all rolled into one.

He said, “Anthony will kill this guy. Anthony Joshua is Olympic champion. Jake Paul is a sportsman, YouTuber, and showman. (Joshua is) a Rolls-Royce. (Paul is) a Fiat. It’s true. It’s business. More money in this. We need to pray for Jake Paul. I will pray for Jake Paul, because I want to fight Jake Paul in the Octagon.

The Rolls-Royce versus Fiat comparison is brutal but accurate. Joshua represents an elite boxing pedigree. Paul represents entertainment value and marketing savvy. They’re not even close in terms of credentials or skill level.

Usyk acknowledged that it’s all just business. A fight like this brings in massive money, even if it’s questionable from a competitive standpoint. That’s the world boxing lives in now. Meanwhile, Usyk said he wants to fight Paul in an MMA bout, which is why he jokingly told everyone to pray for him.

Joshua has held unified titles twice. That’s a real boxing accomplishment against elite competition. Paul’s never faced anyone close to that level. Talking about the fight, Cormier hailed YouTuber turned boxer.

In his words, “That’s bad, bro… that’s bad. Listen to me right here, let me tell you this. If he fights Anthony Joshua with no parameters in place, you all better give Jake Paul his credit. I will, because that’s fu****g brave.”

Paul’s resume tells the story. Retired MMA fighters, a retired NBA player, and 58-year-old Tyson. Those aren’t the opponents that real boxers face to prove themselves. They’re carefully selected matchups designed to maximize attention while minimizing risk. But now the story is different.

Luka Doncic ‘destroys’ the Mavs on his return. Gets standing ovation and shows love to Mark Cuban

Luka Doncic hits 45 points in his first game in Dallas since being traded to the Los Angeles.

It’s rare for a home crowd to cheer the visiting team, but Luka Doncic’s return to Dallas was no ordinary night.

Just days before February’s trade deadline, the Mavericks shocked the NBA by sending their 26-year-old superstar to the Lakers—a move that outraged fans and sparked backlash toward GM Nico Harrison.

On Wednesday, Doncic played his first game back in Dallas since the trade. The arena was filled with fans in both his old Mavs and new Lakers jerseys, many chanting “Fire Nico” in protest.

Despite the emotion in the air, Doncic delivered a dominant performance, scoring a game-high 45 points to lead the Lakers to a 112-97 win. It was a powerful return for one of the league’s brightest stars—and a night Dallas won’t soon forget

The Mavericks pay tribute to Luka Dončić

While the Mavericks’ decision to trade Luka Doncic remains heavily criticized, they handled his return to Dallas with undeniable grace. The organization made sure his first game back as a Laker was met with respect and appreciation.

Every seat in the arena was draped with a T-shirt reading “Hvala za vse,” which translates from Slovenian to “thank you for everything.” It was a thoughtful nod to Doncic’s heritage and impact on the franchise.

Before tip-off, during the starting lineup announcements, the Mavericks played a tribute video showcasing some of Doncic’s most iconic moments in a Dallas jersey. The emotional gesture clearly resonated—moving Doncic to tears in front of the crowd that once called him their own.

From the opening tip, Doncic was locked in. By halftime, Doncic had racked up 31 points on 11-of-16 shooting in just 19 minutes—marking the 10th time in his career he’s scored 30 or more in a single half.

Though his scoring slowed in the second half, he continued to lead effectively, securing both a Lakers win and an unforgettable showing for the fans in Dallas.
