Lexie Hull embraces the physical toll of the Fever-Aces semifinal, often hitting the deck but refusing to back down. In Game 2, she tied a franchise playoff record with five three-pointers, proving she’s more than grit.

With no Caitlin Clark or Sophie Cunningham on the roster, the Indiana Fever are undoubtedly leaning towards Lexie Hull. And she knows this very well. If not, a hot mic recently caught Cunningham giving Hull a hilarious pep talk.

The 3-and-D specialist, listed as questionable with a back injury before Game 2, spoke candidly about the relentless physicality she’s endured, hitting the deck repeatedly in a series defined by hard fouls and no-calls.

Lexie Hull Opens Up On Hitting The Floor Too Often

While she might have accepted hitting the floor too many times, Hull’s toughness shone through, as she tied a franchise playoff record with five three-pointers in a losing effort. That means, she’s more than just a scrapper.

With the series tied 1-1 and heading to Indianapolis for Game 3, Hull is one of the top names Indiana is looking at to keep the historic performance alive for Finals hopes, even as injuries to stars like Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham loom large.

However, the star forward didn’t shy away from addressing the bruising physicality of the Aces-Fever series.

“It feels like a physical game every game. It feels like it’s been a physical season. I have been on the ground a little bit more in this series so far. We just keep getting back up, that’s all you can really say,” Hull said.

In Game 1, A’ja Wilson sent her crashing to the floor twice without a whistle, drawing no complaints from Hull but a playful nod from teammate Sophie Cunningham, who praised her for disrupting Vegas’ rhythm with her body-on-the-line style. However, Hull even defended coach Stephanie White amid growing criticism.

Lexie Hull Makes History Despite Fever’s Game 2 Loss

Despite the Fever’s 90-68 rout in Game 2, Lexie Hull still managed to put her name in franchise lore, tying the Indiana record for most three-pointers in a playoff game with five, a mark untouched in a decade.

Finishing with 15 points on 5-of-16 shooting (5-of-11 from deep), three rebounds, and two assists in 29 minutes. With that, Hull joined Fever greats Marissa Coleman, Katie Douglas, and Tangela Smith in the history books. Her hot shooting kept Indiana in the fight early, though Vegas’ defense, led by Wilson’s 25 points and nine rebounds, overwhelmed them.
