The Easter spirit was in full bloom at the White House lawn today as President Don::ald Tr::ump and First Lady Melania Tru::mp hosted families for the annual Easter Egg Roll — but it wasn’t just the egg hunts and coloring that had hearts melting.

In a video making waves on Instagram, a sweet and surprisingly flirty moment between the first couple stole the show.

While seated at separate tables surrounded by children eagerly coloring Easter-themed pages, Don::ald T::rump couldn’t help but direct everyone’s attention to his wife.

Pointing toward Melania, who was across from him and fully engaged with the kids at her table, Tru::mp proudly said, “Do you know who she is? That is the First Lady of the United States of America.”

His words immediately sparked a warm reaction from Melania, who looked up with a beaming smile. The candid exchange, brief as it was, gave viewers a glimpse of the couple’s softer, more playful side — a rare moment of affection between the two caught on camera.

The event itself was filled with joy and tradition, complete with the classic egg roll, games, and storytime. Melania, dressed elegantly in a cream trench coat with subtle panel detailing, had earlier read a children’s book to the crowd, charming the audience with her gentle delivery and warm presence.

Though it’s an annual tradition, this year’s Easter Egg Roll had something extra — a viral moment of presidential praise that had many online calling it “adorable” and “refreshingly genuine.”

On Monday, President Do::nald Tr::ump and wife Melania Tr::ump kicked off the annual Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn, with the first Lady making a Spring-forward fashion choice in a cream-colored trench coat as she read an adorable children’s book to attendees.

The event features the classic egg roll and egg hunt, with thousands of families in attendance.

In a drift away from the typical, bright pastel Easter colors, Melania instead opted for a long, cream-colored trench coat with paneling detail on the back and shoulder.

The jacket featured a belted waist with neutral colored buttons, as she bundled up for the cloudy Washington, D.C., weather.

Melania paired the look with a pair of green high heels and her signature blowout, keeping it simple without much jewelry on.

During the event, she participated in many of the games with the children, and even read Bunny With a Big Heart out loud to a group of children.

The book is about a bunny that’s not very ‘considerate’ and is always leaving dirty dishes on the table and being ‘impatient with his sister’ but a twisted ankle forces him to stay in bed for a few days and become a more thoughtful and kinder bunny.

‘What a beautiful crowd,’ Melania said before she opened the book, to which she was met with a of crowd adorable voices wishing her a Happy Easter.

Many of the kids said that they had learned ‘kindness’ from the book, and the importance of friendship.

The clip, which was uploaded by the X account Flotus Report, was met with a number of fans gushing over the adorable moment.

Another agreed, ‘She is truly lovely.’

In his address at the beginning of the day, President Tr::ump gave a warm welcome to the crowd.

‘Thank you very much, everybody, and a Happy Easter to everyone,’ President Tr:u:mp said in his address to the crowd.

‘It was a beautiful day yesterday, and it’s a beautiful day today, we don’t have to worry about sunburn but it looks like it’s not gonna be raining, it’s gonna be something special,’ he continued.

During the speech, Tru::mp said that there were 42,000 people joining them on the South Lawn throughout the day.

He also paid tribute to the late Pope Francis, who died last night at the age of 88, explaining that he had just signed an executive order to fly the flags at half-mast.

‘He was a good man, worked hard, he loved the world and it’s an honor to do that,’ he said.

He then thanked his wife, Melania, sharing that she had planned the entire event and ‘worked very, very hard.’

Vice President JD Vance and wife Usha, were not present, as they are currently in India for a four-day visit with Vance set to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding Tr::ump’s ongoing tariff plans as the country tries to head towards a deal.

However, this year, things look a bit different, as Tru::mp has forgone plastic Easter eggs and instead replaced them with dozens of real eggs that have been donated by American egg farmers.

The proceeds will go to the nonprofit White House Historical Association.

But hunting for eggs isn’t the only exciting thing that will be happening at the South Lawn event.

Per The White House’s website, other activities will include a Be Best Military Card Writing Station, cookie decorating station, Reading Nook, courtesy of Amazon and Be Best Hopscotch.

Children and families who attend the event will also get to participate in the America250 initiative, which is a leadup to the nationwide commemoration of the 250th celebration of America’s founding.
