Angel Reese Reveals Exciting Personal News on Monday - Athlon Sports

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky are off to a troubling start to the 2025 WNBA regular season.

The Sky, who missed the playoffs in 2024, are off to an 0-2 start in 2025. The Sky were blown out by the Indiana Fever to open the regular season last Saturday. Chicago was then blown out by the defending WNBA champion New York Liberty, 99-74.

It could get ugly for Reese, who starred collegiately at LSU, and her teammates.

Former ESPN personality Jason Whitlock suggested that Reese, 23, could “quit” the Sky.

“Angel Reese is sniffing around the WNBA transfer portal tonight. Trust me. Sky are a joke and Angel will quit on this team,” he wrote.

While the Sky are off to a troubling start, there could be even greater problems in the locker room.

Reese has been accused of creating “tension” with her teammate, Kamilla Cordoso.

The Chicago Sky first round pick looked like she was “done” with Reese during a recent game. Fans are accusing Reese of creating issues within the Chicago Sky locker room:

“I’ve seen multiple instances of INSANELY bad (but understandable) body language by Kamilla Cardoso when Angel Reese is doing her Angel Reese thing,” one fan wrote. “I’m sure she feels annoyed not getting the ball more. Trouble in paradise?”

“Can we finally acknowledge Kamilla Cardoso is better than the unnecessarily overhyped Angel Reese?” another added. “It is what it is, folks. I hope Kamilla can go to a decent team soon. She deserves better.”

A third fan wrote: “Everyone’s been saying it—the team tries to play through the wrong player and it makes it miserable for everyone else. Good coaches and players don’t force anything.”

Reese’s teammate appeared to be “done” with her following a series of missed layup attempts during a game against the defending WNBA champions earlier this week.

It was rough.

It’s early in the 2025 WNBA season, but we’ll have to see how much things change with Reese and the Sky moving forward.
