Lexie Hull and Gabby Williams collided trying to get hold of a loose ball during the Indiana Fever vs Seattle Storm game. While the player looked ‘okay’ after the game, the Fever forward recently showed the effects of the collision.
A win in the Indiana Fever vs Seattle Storm game at the Gainbridge Arena handed the hosts a chance to seal the playoffs qualification earlier than expected. But they nearly lost a player, this time Lexie Hull, who bumped her head on to rushing Gabby Williams.
While the Storm coach, Noelle Quinn, provided a positive update on Gabby Williams’ injury, there were no words from Stephanie White over her forward’s injury. The player recently posted a video showing the scary effects of the impact.
Lexie Hull Shares Scary Injury Update After Collision With Gabby Williams
The WNBA had many physical altercations and heated moments in the 2025 season. The Indiana Fever suffered a lot in those physical plays, losing Aari McDonald, Sydney Colson, and Sophie Cunningham to season-ending injuries. However, their injuries didn’t happen in any ‘fight’; the physicality of the ‘w’ was once again exposed in those incidents.

The 2022 Fever rookie also had her ‘near-injury’ moments. Aliyah Boston was shocked by Hull’s hard fall during the Minnesota Lynx game. The player faced an equally hard collision during a game against the Storm.
Going for the loose ball, the former Stanford player collided with Gabby Williams and hit the floor. While both players returned to the game after a medical break, the collision was hard and certain to have some aftereffects on their bodies. The player had a massive bump on her forehead and in the video the Fever forward revealed the black-and-blue injuries on Thursday after a fan on TikTok asked how she was doing.
“It’s not doing great. I wish this was a filter, but this is insane. The knot is gone. Instead, I just have two black eyes. So, yeah, this is me!” Lexie Hull said on video after removing her goggles.
While the scenes were scary, the player is not on the injury list, hinting at her availability for the game against the Los Angeles Sparks. A win against the Sparks will virtually confirm the Indiana franchise’s place in the postseason.
Lexie Hull Played A Key Role In The Fever’s Win Despite Collision
The collision at the time was horrifying, and the players were off the court. After a few minutes, they both took center stage once again. While the Storm guard struggled to find her rhythm, the 25-year-old Fever forward continued to impact the game.
Although she played for 23 minutes in the game, she scored five points and collected nine rebounds. She was active on the defensive end, also helping the Fever side to halt Seattle’s surge.
Looking at the injury and now its impact, one must applaud the fighting spirit of the 6-foot-1 forward. Fans will hope to see her thrive against the Sparks in the upcoming game also.
