Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts wasn’t the only one going viral on Friday. Former Eagles legend Jason Kelce was fighting people during a tailgate party pre-game.
Jalen faced heavy pressure on Black Friday, but the superstar showed why he’s the engine of the defending champions. Despite the offense struggling at times this season, Hurts kept the Eagles in striking distance during their Week 13 clash against the Chicago Bears. The matchup ended in a 24-15 loss for Philly, but Hurts did stand out.
The Eagles’ signal-caller steered through a hungry Bears defense. In the third quarter, Hurts was flattened by DT Gervon Dexter Sr., a hit that went beyond the bounds of a clean play. Officials flagged Dexter with a roughing the passer penalty, awarding the Eagles 15 crucial yards.
Hurts’ next series turned into a touchdown connection with wideout AJ Brown.
The penalty, however, could carry financial consequences for Dexter. Per the NFL’s gameday accountability service, a first-time roughing the passer offense typically draws a $17,000 fine. A second offense jumps to $23,186, meaning Dexter could soon be receiving some unwelcome mail.

QB Hurts faced the media head-on, breaking down the team’s struggles.
“Ultimately, you look inward first… I can’t turn the ball over, so the ultimate goal is to go out there and find a way to win. That’s been a direct correlation with success for us being able to protect the ball,” Hurts said.
He also addressed the rushing attack, execution issues, and his trust in OC Kevin Patullo:
“Going out there and trying to find ways to move the offense down the field… I have confidence in my team when they’re collaborative.”
