WNBA star Sophie Cunningham has been garnering extra interest since joining the Indiana Fever, where she will play alongside Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark.

The 2019 second-round pick spent the first six years of her career with the Phoenix Mercury, where she contributed both as a starter and from off the bench. She has also spent time playing in Australia.

The Fever landed Cunningham in a three-team trade this offseason in a bid to further strengthen after Clark’s incredible first year.

Given her experience in the pros, Cunningham should have little trouble fitting into the Fever setup. When she spoke to reporters after the trade, the 28-year-old implied she would not have any difficulty adjusting and building chemistry with her new teammates.

With the Missouri native around a month away from her Indiana debut, she’s making the most of what’s left of her time off. As such, she took to Instagram this Thursday to share a few photos of herself soaking in some sun on the beach in a blkini.

“Work hard, beach harder,” she wrote in the caption.

Eyes should be on Cunningham throughout the 2025 WNBA season as she’s earned herself a reputation as one of the most elegant dressers in the league. She went viral for her outfits several times last season and is expected to do so at least a few times in the upcoming campaign.

She should also be a major contributor in the Indiana backcourt. It will be interesting to see how her partnership with Clark works out for the ambitious Fever side.
