Caitlin Clark has been in the limelight for quite some time now for her marvelous command on the court and the achievements that followed. From surpassing the former LSU shooting guard Pete Maravich and becoming the all-time leading scorer of the NCAA to getting praised by NBA greats like LeBron James and Stephen Curry, the Iowa Hawkeyes sensation has been frequently grabbing attention.
The soon-to-be WNBA player has grabbed the attention of the fans after adding another accomplishment to her catalogue of success and this time the reason is the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant.

Caitlin Clark recreates iconic Kobe Bryant picture
Caitlin Clark has now won the Big Ten championship three times in a row. The Iowa Hawkeyes faced the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the finals, which ended in a 94-89 victory for the former, with Clark contributing 34 points and winning the Big Ten Tournament MVP title for the third time, the most by any player since 1995. After the game, the 22-year-old recreated an iconic Kobe Bryant moment.
Caitlin posed with the trophy exactly as Kobe posed with the NBA championship trophy on June 15, 2001, in a shower stall with his hand over his eyes. In addition to that, she was wearing Nike shoes from the Black Mamba’s shoe line collection. To add icing on the cake, Vanessa Bryant congratulated her by sharing a story on Instagram for her achievement.
Iowa were 13 points down, with Caitlin having probably the worst half of her basketball career with only 4 points in the first half. Clark ended the game with 34 points along with 12 assists. 7 rebounds and 3 steals. “This is definitely the hardest one, It’s three in a row but it’s by far the hardest. I’m just so proud of our group,” said a proud Caitlin after the game.
Fans react to Caitlin’s viral picture
Caitlin Clark’s achievements have made her stand out. The NBA community has always applauded her but with Kobe Bryant‘s pose, this time things went in different directions. While some fans appreciated her accolade, others felt her feat was not worth the Lakers legend’s pose. NBA fans have shared their opinions on X. Here are some of the selected tweets and comments:
A fan, taking a dig at her for posing the same as Kobe without the championship trophy, commented, “Should’ve saved it for the title. Imagine Kobe doing this after winning the Pacific Division.” According to their geographical locations, the NBA teams are aligned in different divisions, which improves the scheduling of matches.
Calling her the female greatest basketball player, a fan wrote, “she’s the female goat already and she’s still in college.“
Someone commented, pointing out her poor performance, “Struggling Against unranked teams and farming big 10 championships whilst shot chucking with horrible efficiency.“
Someone wrote, appreciating the recreation of the legendary pose, “Probably the best remake. She’s destined for greatness.“
While another fan commented, being surprised seeing the picture since Kobe’s title win was in a pro league, “Bro WDF a big 10 vs an actual championship not even the NATTY.“
Caitlin Clark has one of the most prosperous college basketball careers, which goes without saying and is gradually ticking all her boxes before appearing for the 2024 WNBA draft that she recently declared.
Brittney Griner Finally Breaks Her Silence Over Alleged Caitlin Clark Comments That The WNBA Refused To Investigate
Brittney Griner (Photo via Twitter)
WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.
The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.
The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”
However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.
It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.
Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.
The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.
Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.
This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
