DANCING with the Stars contestant Scott Hoying has announced he’s expecting his first child with his husband, Mark Manio.

The couple revealed the news on Tuesday night’s episode of the show’s Dedication night.

Scott dedicated his performance to his partner, who danced with him for part of the routine.

In a video capturing their rehearsals, the pair joyfully shared with Scott’s pro partner, Rylee Arnold, that they were having a baby.

They revealed they were expecting their first child via surrogate, before tearfully embracing in a group hug.

Mark then joined the Pentatonix singer on stage for his Foxtrot routine to Scott’s own song, Parallel.

The vocalist even began the performance singing before tossing his mic aside to focus on his dance moves.

The routine received praise and some criticism from the judges, especially Carrie Ann Inaba, who pointed out several areas for improvement for the musician.

However, everyone offered congratulatory messages for the parents-to-be, including their co-stars, once they all reunited on the platform to review their scores.

Fans also expressed their excitement for the happy couple on social media.

“Scott’s performance was so emotional… what a moment he is going to be a dad,” one person wrote on X.

“Scott is improving. His foxtrot was good. I love they announced they’re having a baby!!” another sai

“SCOTT RICHARD HOYING IS HAVING A BABY,” a third enthusiastically commented.

In July, Scott and Mark revealed to People that they had found a surrogate and would soon be starting a family.

“We’re getting closer,” Mark told the outlet. “We finally have a surrogate, so we’re closer.”

Scott then admitted that they were “becoming friends” with the surrogate, although acknowledging that “there’s all sorts of stuff that has to happen before the surrogate.”

Still, the twosome was optimistic they would soon be a family of three, as Mark teased, “But next summer, we’ll have a baby for sure.”

“We used an agency. And we wanted to have our surrogate in L.A., because we want to go to every single appointment,” Scott further explained.

“And so, the wait list was a lot longer for L.A. But it was worth it. We found something. She’s amazing.”

Scott and Mark tied the knot in July 2023 in a romantic ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.

Around that time, the pair discussed their desire to have children, and Scott gushed about what an “amazing father” Mark would be.

“He just loves life, loves people, loves every single part of me. I just know he is going to be the most amazing father in the world to our children,” the a cappella singer said during another sit-down with People.

Scott was awarded another week on DWTS, as hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro announced everyone was safe from elimination.

He and Rylee will perform again next week for Wicked Night, in honor of Wicked: Part II’s upcoming release.
