To celebrate DWTS’ 20th anniversary special this season, the show brought back past champions to team up with the current finalists for a special performance last week.

Robert, 21, was set up with Xochitl, 19, who won season 32 of the dance competition with her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy.

It appears as though the pair have bonded during their long rehearsals and late-night hangouts, as The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal they’ve continued to see each other outside of the show.

“Robert and Xochitl have been spending a lot of time together since they performed last week.

“She’s come to rehearsals, they’ve gone out to eat or went for walks.

“They seem like lifelong best friends, but there is for sure some flirting going on there,” an insider claimed.

The source said that it complicates matters a bit as he still remains close with troupe member, Hailey Bills, whom The U.S. Sun has reported has also grown a connection with Robert.

“He also still remains close with Hailey [Bills] on the cast too, so he’s turned into quite the ladies’ man on set.

“A lot of girls are into Robert, he’s trying to juggle it all while still remaining thoughtful and respectful.

“At the end of the day, his eye is on the prize and he’s staying focused on the competition. But when it’s over, he will have his pick of options for his personal life,” they added.

As The U.S. Sun previously reported, Hailey and Robert had shown an interest in each other after fans noticed their undeniable chemistry on set.

“Robert’s been chasing Hailey around on set like a puppy dog. It’s no secret, people see it but the whole crew is supportive.

“They love the two of them individually so together they would be even better.

“There’s definitely a lot of attraction there, definitely a lot of flirting.

“They seem to have a really good connection and chemistry, that’s for sure,” a source spilled.

However, the insider said that it’s still early on, so the pair are “not yet” officially dating.

“Robert has his eyes on the prize and is just trying to get through this season and come out on top, so nothing is official yet.

“They aren’t in a relationship, but the attraction is there, it’s heading in that direction.”

However, Robert typically resides in Australia with his family, making any romantic connections he makes in the U.S. a long distance away from home.

There is a chance Robert may live in the States, at least part-time, as he’s been flooded with Hollywood offers, including TV and modeling, The U.S. Sun previously reported.
