Sharna Burgess has spoken out about the claims that the show is toxic. However, she blamed it all on the fans.

I’ve never heard of this but I’m gonna have to assume The fandom (some not all obvi). It’s certainly not the show itself or the people on it. Gosh I hate even seeing those two words together it’s so sad but yeah the online hate is just another level these days. On the flip side so is the online love and adoration. It’s the ying and yang.. the balance I guess. Where there are more people that love something there will also be more people that don’t.

So, she does not think the issue is the show, the contestants, the pros, or the production. She thinks the issue is the fans. People were shocked to hear her say this. However, it does make sense as there has been a lot of hate online lately. Especially with Season 34.

It seems as though Sharna thinks the toxic part of the show is the viewers. Some of them are kind and love watching the show. However, there are just as many people who hate the show and will badmouth people on it. So, she thinks there is a good mix of the two. However, if the toxicity is coming from somewhere, it’s the fans.
