Naturally, the artist’s career has been filled with various emotional moments. During a recent interview, Jelly Roll could even be seen holding his head in his hands in tears.

In another recent milestone, back in October, Jelly Roll made a surprise appearance at the Grand Ole Opry during Craig Morgan’s 15th anniversary as a member. The two even performed “Almost Home” together as a duet.
However, Jelly Roll would later be the one getting a big surprise. Around this time, Jelly Roll would make an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience. During the moment, the podcaster showed a clip of Jelly Roll on stage, talking about his past incarceration and being inspired by Morgan.
As the podcast continued, however, Jelly Roll was then shown a clip of Morgan congratulating him on how far he has come. The video continued, with Morgan even giving DeFord an invitation to become a member of the Opry, even saying, “welcome to the family.”
Craig Morgan & The Opry Also Shared Their Reactions To The Moment On Social Media
It was this act that had left Jelly Roll in tears, holding his head in his hands, later asking Rogan for a hug. The artist shared, “Hey Joe, that’s like… it don’t get no bigger in country music, bubba. That’s as big as it gets, yo. F—ing Grand Ole Opry, dawg. Dude, I used to buy tickets to go there.”
The moment was later shared in a joint post on Instagram. Jelly Roll himself wrote, “I don’t even know what to say right now, y’all. They invited me to be a member of the Opry. CRAIG MORGAN INVITED ME TO BE A MEMBER OF THE OPRY!!!!”
“I’m honored beyond words, and I can’t stop pinching myself. To everyone at the Opry, y’all are like family to me. To Craig Morgan, no matter how many times I say it I’ll never be able to tell you enough how much this has all meant to me. I love you, Joe Rogan.”
The Opry’s official Instagram account also responded to the moment, noting, “We love ya, Jelly! Welcome to the family.” Morgan himself also wrote, “Couldn’t think of anyone more deserving. Welcome home, @jellyroll615.”
