The Las Vegas Aces have won their third WNBA championship in the last four years, beating the Phoenix Mercury 97-86 in Game 4 on Friday night. However, fans reckon the whole thing was rigged based on a curious Nike ad.

The sportswear giants created a commercial hyping the Aces, implying they were champs before the game ended.

“Nike aired a WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces advertisement with half of the third quarter left in the game,” a fan captioned a post in which he shared the video.

“Everyone’s knows sports it’s rigged. If it was rigged, Embiid would be a 4x champ rn,“ someone commented.

“ESPN is also into gambling now. You still thinks sports aren’t fixed?” asked another.

“Faith is what it’s called 😉🏀🥂🥂,” joked a third.

“Noticed this and was baffled. Terrible energy to put into the universe before the job is done,” one user claimed.

Other fans suggested that the game was basically over by the time the ad aired, with the scoreline pointing to a blowout.

Las Vegas Aces Routed Everyone En Route To WNBA Finals

A’ja Wilson led the scoring for Vegas with 31 points, adding nine rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and two steals.

Chelsea Gray chipped in with 16 points and six assists, and Jackie Young added 18 points, including two key shots in the fourth quarter.

The win makes the Aces the first team to complete a Finals series sweep since 2020, establishing them as a dynasty under coach Becky Hammon. However, the trophy presentation was a complete mess.

Of note, they went through the entire playoffs undefeated, so Nike must have felt like they couldn’t miss with this.
