The Love Island: All Stars Season 3 premiere has been cancelled amid a shocking tragedy, and fans have no idea when it will start. So, what has caused the delay, and will everyone be okay, or is this far worse than anyone could have imagined? Keep reading for all of the horrific details.

Love Island: All Stars Premiere Cancelled

Every summer, Peacock fans get excited as Love Island USA is set to premiere with an all-new cast. This also happens throughout the year with global editions of the hit series. There are also spin-offs such as Games and All Stars, which have amassed huge fan bases. The new season of All Stars was set to premiere on Wednesday, January 14th, but that has now been cancelled as tragedy struck the filming location. The show is being filmed in South Africa, but the villa they are staying in is sadly in harm’s way.

There are currently raging wildfires around the villa. Due to this, production has been halted for the foreseeable future. Therefore, it is unclear how All Stars can set a premiere date if they have no idea when filming will resume. Allegedly, the Love Island cast was supposed to start filming Season 3 on Saturday, January 10th. However, that has been put on hold, with ITV saying this:

“Further to a production evacuation owing to ongoing wildfires in the area, our assessment of the location site has concluded that filming will need to be postponed.”

They went on to add a message about safety regarding the cast and crew who would be in jeopardy:

“Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first, and therefore the transmission of Love Island: All Stars will be delayed until a date to be confirmed.”

It is clear that this is a sticky situation. The show had somewhat of a timeline for filming and execution, and now that has been thrown by the wayside. However, viewers will understand that this is an unpredictable natural disaster.

The biggest concern is that the fire could come close to the villa. As of now, everything is on pause, yet the goal is to only have to wait one more day. Production would like to begin filming on Sunday, January 11th, but that may not be feasible.

Who Has Joined The Cast?

Season 3 of Love Island: All Stars has a pretty fun cast waiting in the wings. Fans can expect to see:

Whitney Adebayo
Millie Court
Belle Hassan
Helena Ford
Jack Keating

After learning of the delay, some fans were not happy. Of course, they knew that it was uncontrollable, but it was still hard to swallow. Hopefully, everyone is safe so that filming can begin sooner rather than later.
