LeBron James fiercely defends his queen Savannah James after receiving respectless attacks from rapper Kevin Gates
LeBron James acted like a superstar and responded with great class on his social media.

LeBron James fiercely protects his family, and Stephen A. Smith learned the hard way that crossing someone close to the “King” comes with consequences. Now, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar finds himself in another dispute, this time defending his wife, Savannah James, against unsolicited opinions about their marriage.
LeBron James stands up for Savannah James
LeBron James is no stranger to setbacks, but after the Lakers’ first-round playoff loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, he and his high school sweetheart faced inappropriate comments from rapper Kevin Gates.
In a video circulating on social media, Gates used offensive language to attack Savannah James without provocation. LeBron, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, responded by affirming her importance, calling her his “goddess.”
“Kings don’t concern themselves with the opinions of peasants. Where to next, Queen?!?! Let’s get it!” LeBron wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo capturing a tender moment of the couple nearly kissing, radiating happiness.
The response was a masterclass in class, with LeBron rising above the drama during a critical moment in the NBA season.
Savannah James has been his lifelong partner, growing up together in Akron, Ohio. She is the mother of their three children: Bronny (20), Bryce (17), and Zhuri (10).
Lakers aim to move forward
After defending his wife, LeBron James is steering clear of drama. He kicked off his 18th NBA postseason with 19 points, going 1-for-5 from three-point range, while adding three assists and five rebounds.
Despite playing 36 minutes, the Los Angeles Lakers couldn’t overcome the Minnesota Timberwolves, falling 95-117. The series continues with Game 2 on Tuesday.
“Throughout the whole season we did a great job of not allowing teams to get fast break point after fast break point,” Jamesdijo. “We already know offensively how dangerous they are, so in giving teams an opportunity to get those easy points, it’s gonna be hard to make that up.”
