Mike Tomlin added his take in his NBC debut.
“And, so, if they get off to a fast start, they’ve got a chance to quiet some of that noise. If they don’t, that noise could get extremely loud.”
The discussion came at a natural moment. The Patriots open the regular season against the Seahawks on Sept. 9, a Super Bowl rematch that will air on NBC. Viewers will likely hear more about the story that night.
Photos first surfaced in April showing Vrabel and Dianna Russini together at an Arizona resort. Both are married. The images sparked widespread coverage and an internal review at The Athletic. Russini resigned shortly after. Vrabel called the original photos an innocent interaction before later acknowledging the distraction.
