LeBron James and Stephen Curry defined a generation of basketball, but fans may not have seen the last chapter of their shared story. With both future Hall of Famers nearing the twilight of their careers, the Golden State Warriors are reportedly still open to a potential team-up with the help of one of the NBA’s most intriguing possibilities.

Both legends faced off in countless high-stakes moments, including four star-filled NBA Finals between 2015 and 2018. With James entering the final year of his Lakers contract and Curry signed through 2027, time is running out for a potential pairing.

“I believe that the Warriors, who have shown an interest in acquiring James dating to the February 2024 trade deadline some 18 months ago, will remain in the mix if James ever does reach the point that he’s looking for a last hurrah elsewhere,” Stein wrote.

The most feasible scenario would be James accepting a veteran minimum deal in 2026, allowing the Warriors to preserve core veterans like Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler. While the pairing remains speculative, the ongoing interest suggests it’s more than just fantasy. A later career collaboration between James and Curry could deliver one final unforgettable run.

Curry’s rise to NBA greatness had an early fan in James. During Davidson’s 2008 NCAA Tournament run, Curry dropped 33 points against Wisconsin and impressed James, who was watching courtside. However, the two did not meet then.

A year later, James watched Curry drop 44 points in a game in Charlotte. Afterward, they finally met, and James gifted Curry a jersey. “I came back to the game that night, and after the game, [James] came out of the locker room with a jersey. It said, ‘The king of basketball in North Carolina,’” Curry said.

That early bond blossomed into one of the most iconic rivalries of the 2010s. Today, Curry and James remain close friends and respected competitors.

WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.

The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.

The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”

However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.

It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.

Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.

The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.

Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.

This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
