Season 3 of Mormon Wives is currently streaming on Hulu, and Whitney, 32, is already confirmed to be on the upcoming fourth season of the series.

However, once she’s done filming season 4, Whitney “doesn’t want to come back” to the show, an insider exclusively told The U.S. Sun.

“Whitney feels she’s become too big of a star for the show and is ready to close that chapter.

“She is hoping to get more opportunities in other aspects of the entertainment industry, like acting and more dancing, and hosting, similar to Ariana [Madix],” the insider said of Vanderpump Rules and DWTS alum, Ariana Madix.

The source continued: “She has seen what opportunities Ariana got from her reality TV fame and essentially wants to follow in those footsteps.

“And she’s banking on Broadway being just the beginning for a more prestige entertainment career.

“She feels returning to Mormon Wives would damage future career opportunities for her.

“Especially after feeling like the backlash from season 3 is what caused her premature elimination from Dancing with the Stars.”

TAKES TWO TO TANGO

Whitney was a frontrunner to win season 34 of DWTS with her pro partner, Mark Ballas.

However, the season 3 release of Mormon Wives, for which Whitney received mass backlash, came out just a few days before the semifinals.

After garnering viral outrage for comments she made on the Hulu show, Whitney did not receive enough votes to stay in the competition and was eliminated before the finals.

Whitney “blamed” the Mormon Wives season dropping just before the finals as the reason she was eliminated, The U.S. Sun previously reported.

On the premiere of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Whitney admitted to only returning to the reality show so she had a chance to be on DWTS.

Her candid comments infuriated many fans, who labeled her as “fame hungry” and “self-absorbed.”

DWTS host Julianne Hough then brought up her comments on the episode Whitney got eliminated.

“You said on the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives that the only reason you wanted to do that show is so you could do this show. Why do you want to be here so much?” Julianne asked.

While Whitney seemed surprised by the question, she attempted to give a polite reply.

“After two seasons of doing the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, I wanted to take a break.

“But once I found out that this would be an opportunity for all the girls to go after this, I wanted to take that chance.

“I will forever be so grateful because this has changed my life. And I’m having the time of my life and I couldn’t be more grateful,” she confessed.
