‘Stunning’ Angel Reese Going Viral At Met Gala Monday Night
Angel Reese BLASTED After Met Gala Appearance That Has Internet DIVIDED
Angel Reese’s flashy Met Gala debut is going viral for all the wrong reasons. Critics say the WNBA rookie “tried too hard” with a revealing sheer dress that looked more like a fashion stunt than a style statement.
Angel Reese went all out for the Met Gala in New York City on Monday.
Reese is heading into her second season with the WNBA’s Chicago Sky. As a rookie, the No. 7 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft led the league in rebounding and double-doubles and was one of only two first-year players to make the All-Star Game.
While basketball is her career, and she’s damn good at it, but hoops isn’t the only passion of Reese’s. She’s heavy into fashion, and her pregame outfits earned her almost as much recognition as her overall play last year.
In 2024, Reese attended the met Gala, and this time around, she’s a member of the Host Committee for the 2025 event, which is centered on the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
“I’m dressed because the Met Gala is on Monday. This is the designer I’m wearing,” Reese teased ahead of the gala. “I’m not going to say the name of the designer, but if you know your fashion, if you’re a fashion girlie, just check the details. You know what I’m wearing.”

For those who were wondering, Reese is wearing Thom Browne tonight.
The 6-foot-3 Sky forward turned heads with a high-end black-and-white getup on the “blue” carpet at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
“Angel Reese stuns at her second Met Gala, but this time as a Host Committee Member! Outfit by Thom Browne,” said the official WNBA X/Twitter account.
“WOW. She got that s–t on,” said former ESPN host and writer Jemele Hill.
“Wow. Very elegant, Angel,” said one fan.
“I don’t even know Angel personally, but I’m so damn proud of her and everything she has accomplished!” another fan chimed in.
“She is stunningly Beautiful,” a fourth person said.
“Angel Reese leveling up in style and status,” a fifth person said.
“FACE OF THE LEAGUE,” another fan added.

Reese returned to LSU on Friday as the Sky took on the Brazilian national team in an exhibition game.
Tonight, she’s at the Met Gala. Then, she’ll return to Chicago for the remainder of the postseason.
The Sky will open up the 2025 regular season against the Indiana Fever on May 17.
