Chicago Sky star Angel Reese clearly is done with the franchise.

Reese expressed frustration with the Chicago Sky’s performance, stating, “I’m not settling for the same s–t we did this year.” It showed that the star wanted to be part of a team with a plan so they could be successful.

Instead, her comments were deemed detrimental by the franchise, leading to a one-half suspension and a public apology to her teammates.

The trade rumors are getting louder and louder.

The 23-year-old further fueled speculation that her time with the Sky might be ending when she told the Chicago Tribune that she ‘might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me.’

After two years of futility, the Chicago Sky star is ready for something different in the Windy City. She was even accused of faking injuries to avoid playing in games.

The Sky went 13-27 in Reese’s rookie year, and they got even worse in her second year.

Despite being in a big market, the Sky have struggled to land stars or keep their best players. They may struggle to keep Reese as well.

Reese reflected on her second season in the WNBA, saying it “taught me so much.” She added that “this is only the beginning” while sharing a brief highlight reel from 2025.

‘YEAR 2. You taught me so much. You taught me so many lessons. You showed a TON of growth. You fought through SO much adversity. Yet you still PREVAILED, still showed up, and God has a plan for you. This is only the beginning,’ Reese said on X.

The 6’3″ forward was an All-Star for the second time in her career, averaging 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds this year. She also worked on her most daring issue, her field goal percentage.

Reese’s field goal percentage increased from 39.1% in her 2024 rookie season to 45.8% in her 2025 season.
