Harry Potter star Stanislav Yanevski, who portrayed Bulgarian Quidditch player Viktor Krum in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, shared a shocking update with his fans after being rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery due to breathing difficulties.

The 39-year-old actor posted a photo from his hospital bed on Instagram, attempting a smile for the camera with a bandage covering his nose. He expressed his gratitude to his followers for their birthday wishes, saying, “Hello lovely ladies and gentlemen. Time has finally come to reveal the news but first things first. THANK YOU all for the lovely birthday wishes! I appreciate every post, every message and I promise you I’ve felt very special and supported on this very important day in my life.”

Regarding the photo, Stanislav explained, “Now, about the photo – soon after my birthday, I was hospitalized due to inability to breathe. I was taken into surgery and the photo was taken right after I had come out of the surgical room.”

He continued, “As always, and those who know me closer, I went through this in silence as I didn’t want to scare or worry anybody. I’ve always been this way. I fight through struggles in quiet.”

Stanislav acknowledged the support of his loved ones, stating: “Of course, I had support from the few I had told and my family, for which I’m very thankful. I am still recovering and things are looking great. I will be able to breathe freely, experience all the scents of life, which was something I had lost over the past months,” reports the Mirror.

“I will be able to sleep without struggles, recover properly with peaceful sleep and be at my full powers very soon. I still have a few pieces planted in my nose, so I’m not able to talk freely.”

The celebrity requested his fans who bought Cameo videos to be “patient” as he’s unable to create any new content until he’s fully healed from his operation.

“I had a checkup with my doctor today and he said that I’m recovering really well and was actually quite surprised with my progress. I guess all the healthy diets, training, self-control, and belief help in such cases,” he continued.

Stanislav expressed gratitude towards his supporters for their love and encouragement, wishing them a “majestic weekend” before concluding with his signature.

Supporters swarmed the comments to offer their best wishes, with one user commenting, “Damn man! Take care of you, get well soon. You’re a warrior man.”
