Maxx Crosby would make this team’s defense practically unstoppable.

Las Vegas Raiders superstar defensive end has reportedly revealed which NFL team he wants to play for next.

On Wednesday, news broke that the Raiders and Maxx Crosby will likely split in the offseason. Crosby left the Raiders’ facility ahead of their Week 17 game against the New York Giants when the coaching staff told him he’d be shut down for the final two games.

Obviously, any team with the cap space and trade assets would love to add Crosby to their team. But according to a top NFL insider, Crosby has already expressed his desire to join the AFC champions.

During an appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Zolak & Bertrand” program, The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported that Crosby wants to play for Mike Vrabel and the New England Patriots.

“Maxx Crosby doesn’t seem too happy in Las Vegas,” Russini said. “I know he wants to play for Mike Vrabel. He’s told me before.”

Earlier today, Fox Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer reported that the Raiders and Crosby are headed for a divorce.


Crosby signed a three-year extension worth $106.5 million last offseason. The deal keeps him under contract through 2029, so whichever team lands Crosby in a trade will have him under control for four years.

Raiders Failed To Build Around Maxx Crosby

Crosby has been one of the NFL’s premier defensive players since his 2019 rookie year. The 28-year-old has racked up 69.5 sacks and 11 forced fumbles, earning five Pro Bowl selections along the way.

But Las Vegas could never build a contending team around Crosby. They only made the postseason once (in 2021), and have lost nine-plus games in four consecutive years.

The Raiders have recycled through coaches, executives and quarterbacks. The decision to move on from interim head coach Rich Bisaccia, who led them to the playoffs in 2021, remains one of the worst in franchise history.

With another one of Crosby’s prime years wasted, it’s no wonder he’s ready to move on
