If you don’t think Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark is the face of the WNBA, Sophie Cunningham has a message for you.

Cunningham launched the new Show Me Something podcast with Bravo star West Wilson, and she came out guns blazing in the very first episode.

Cunningham is well known for being sassy and wasted no time stepping into a heavily debated topic in the WNBA.

“It literally like pisses me off when people are like, ‘She’s not the face of the league,’” Cunningham boldly stated about teammate Caitlin Clark.

“We have a lot of bad-asses in our league, like hell yeah to that, I’m all for that. But when people try to argue that she’s not the face of our league, or that our league would be where we’re at without her, you’re dumb as shit.”

Cunningham then added, “You’re literally dumb as f—.”

Sophie Cunningham has positioned herself as the biggest Caitlin Clark ally in the WNBA, and it’s paying off.

Without her friendship with Caitlin, she likely never started a podcast that is most certainly going to be a hit since Clark fans already love her.

While the vast majority do seem on board with Clark as the face representing the WNBA, there is debate among mainly three others––Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson, Minnesota Lynx––and current MVP frontrunner ––Napheesa Collier, and the Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese.

Wednesday evening meant there was yet another game where the Indiana Fever would not be playing alongside Caitlin Clark.

With 18 games left in the regular season, there is still no timetable for Clark’s return.

Clark’s already missed 13 of the team’s 26 games while the Fever remain in the playoff picture.

Clark, who was injured during the Fever’s win over the Connecticut Sun on July 15 and missed All-Star weekend in Indianapolis, does not have an official return timeline.
