Kyren Lacy should’ve been spending this week preparing for the biggest moment of his life. Instead, fans and family are mourning the tragic loss of the 24-year-old former LSU wide receiver, who died Saturday night in Houston. Just days away from hearing his name called in the 2025 NFL Draft, Lacy’s sudden d3ath has stunned the football world.
Lacy, a standout receiver who made a name for himself at both UL Lafayette and LSU, had recently wrapped up a strong final college season. He caught 58 passes for 866 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024, earning praise as a top NFL Draft prospect.
But behind the scenes, the young athlete was dealing with mounting legal trouble tied to a fatal car crash in December.

According to Baton Rouge television station WBRZ, authorities are treating Lacy’s d3ath as a suicide. Authorities found Lacy dead in Houston on Saturday night. He was set to appear before a Baton Rouge grand jury on Monday for a pending negligent homicide case related to a December 17 crash that killed 78-year-old Herman Hall, a former U.S. Marine.
Reporter Jacques Doucet of WAFB confirmed the news Sunday morning, tweeting, “I have confirmed with a family member that former @LSUfootball wide receiver Kyren Lacy has passed away in Houston.”
Sources close to the situation indicated that the looming court date and the emotional weight of the investigation may have contributed to his state of mind. While the official cause remains under investigation, early reports point toward suicide.
Tributes began flooding social media early Sunday. Former teammates, fans, and community members shared their heartbreak. “These kids gotta understand one mistake doesn’t define who they are. Kyren Lacy had so much life ahead of him I really hate to hear that,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “Kyren Lacy should’ve been celebrating getting drafted in 11 days with his best friends.”
Lacy’s story is now one of unfulfilled promise and a life cut short too soon. The LSU community and college football fans across the country continue to share memories of a player who brought energy and talent to the field- and who now leaves behind difficult questions and deep sorrow.

GTA Lucia (Photo via Twitter)
Social media might be down incredibly bad as Lucia from Grand Theft Auto is going insanely viral.
GTA 6’s trailer 2 officially broke a record after the upcoming second look at the game, which has continued to take forever to come out.
GTA 6 broke the record for the longest wait between a first and second trailer for a Rockstar Games title ever.
Rockstar has built a rich world of criminals, lunatics, and thieves spanning from Liberty City to San Andreas and beyond. With GTA 6 on the horizon, fans have become ecstatic after seeing a picture of Lucia.
For those unaware, she is a female criminal in the game. Grand Theft Auto states that she did her time at a prison complex in the State of Leonida in the mid-2020s for an unknown crime.
As anticipation builds for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, a picture shows Lucia stripped down to a two-piece bikini.
