The fall 2025 premiere dates for Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med on NBC have been confirmed, revealing when the One Chicago franchise will return. All three shows in the shared universe will be coming back this fall with new episodes. All three shows take place within the larger Dick Wolf universe, including Law & Order and FBI.
Now, NBC confirms that all three shows in the One Chicago universe are coming back to NBC on the night of Wednesday, October 1. Chicago Med season 11 starts at 8 p.m., Chicago Fire season 14 starts at 9 p.m., and Chicago P.D. season 13 starts at 10 p.m. All three series are promising to return in dramatic fashion.
What The One Chicago Universe’s Return Date Means For All 3 Shows
What To Expect As The Series’ Return

The upcoming episodes of the One Chicago universe are promising to continue many important stories from their previous seasons. Chicago Med season 11, for example, will continue following the unresolved day-to-day elements of its main characters’ lives. This includes Hannah’s pregnancy and Daniel’s personal life possibly growing more prominent. Other characters, like Lenox and Frost, may also achieve wider focus.
The same can be said for Chicago Fire season 14, which will no doubt keep Severide as the primary anchor for the rest of Firehouse 51. However, Daniel Kyri and Jake Lockett will not be coming back after the end of season 13, leaving a hole in the team that still needs to be filled when the season begins.
Finally, Chicago P.D. season 13 will continue to have Hank Voight leading his team through thick and thin, with potential for more prominence for newcomers like officer Kiana Cook. The exact story for the show’s upcoming episodes, however, remains unclear as of writing. But all three series promise high-octane drama and dilemmas for all its characters to contend with.
Our Take On One Chicago’s Return Date
All Three Stories Continue At The Same Time
As is typical of the One Chicago universe, all three shows are going to be coming back at the same time. This means all of them will get major story updates at once, potentially offering some very dramatic moments for all of them. It also signifies how the shows are tied together, even when they’re not crossing over.
With all three series coming back at the same time, it seems like the One Chicago universe is continuing steadily on NBC. While there will inevitably be some major, dramatic moments that transpire, all three shows will probably be focusing on grounding themselves in whatever storylines are being set up for the major events of their future installments.
