THE Indiana Fever are back in the win column, and fans want more involvement from one of the team’s stars.

With Caitlin Clark still sidelined with injuries, the Indiana Fever need other stars to step up, and Sophie Cunningham might be that exact player.

In a defensive showdown on Thursday, the Fever took down the Las Vegas Aces 80-70 to creep back over .500.

The high-level defense didn’t stop the Fever stars from draining some important buckets.

Cunningham specifically was lethal from the three-point line during the contest.

She shot 4-for-5 from the field, sinking three of her four three-point attempts.

Cunningham finished the game with 15 points and three rebounds.

Fever fans were thrilled to see this kind of production, and urged the team to get Cunningham more three-point shots.

“Exactly get her more looks,” one fan said.

“Soph is the real deal,” another fan said.

“Sophie Cunningham would have more threes if they would pass the ball to her,” a third fan said.

“@sophie_cham is our Goddess and hero,” a fourth fan said.

“Way to go, Sophie and fever ladies!” a fifth fan said.

Indiana now sit at 13-12 on the season and moved up to sixth place in the legue.

They are now 2.5 games ahead of the Los Angeles Sparks, who ate the last team out of the playoffs.

The team will need to continue this kind of form without Clark on the court.

There is still no timeline for a return to play for the Fever’s star player.

Through 11 regular season games, Clark was averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists.

That is the kind of production the Fever will need for an eventual playoff push.

However, it would be smart to keep Clark out as long as possible to ensure she is healthy for the playoffs.
