Lexie Hull remained an impactful player for Stephanie White’s team that surpassed all expectations with its resilient gameplay.

The ongoing CBA negotiations are putting a question mark over the 2026 season, with the fates of many players and franchises hanging in the balance. One of those players is Lexie Hull, who shone in the season with her all-around performance, leading the side to the semifinals.

Although the Fever team missed multiple players to injury, the side stayed competitive throughout the season. During their resurgent season, HC Stephanie White praised Hull’s ‘tough kid’ mentality that kept her going through pain. But the player now pinpointed one overlooked issue that also needed attention, especially for the female athletes.

Lexie Hull Talks About Struggles For Female Athletes To Maintain Peak Performance

Many coaches and players complained about the physicality of the game, and the Fever forward was one of the prime examples who took multiple blows, hit the ground hard, and yet put her best performance on the court. But adding to these ‘obvious’ physical challenges, the 26-year-old forward discussed one of the lesser-discussed issues – the menstrual cycle.

In a promotional video, where she appears wearing a white dress and wine-colored boots, Hull demonstrates that it is possible to play without worrying about stains, using products like tampons. The video was on the Dailymotion platform.

While the WNBA had a very grueling schedule in 2025, the importance of using such products helps players stay at the top of their game. Participating in such a promotional video, the 2022 rookie brings the spotlight to the struggles that the female athletes had to face during demanding games and a competitive environment.

Also showing the impact of the natural cycle in the female body from the perspective of a player like Hull helps normalize something that is part of many women’s lives and, though common, is still not openly discussed.

After the Hull will now play in the Unrivaled league, where she won the title last season with the ‘Rose’ team. The star also shared some inspiring messages with her former college teammates during her visit to Stanford.

While the struggles were visible to the eye, Fever players delivered on the floor. Hull’s plays were eye-catching and clutch for the side that won multiple games. She finished her regular season with 7.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals. While many praised her performances throughout the season, she went to her alma mater to inspire fellow Stanford students.

“Enjoy it all, these four years, five years, if you get six, whatever, these are the most fun years you’ll truly have playing basketball. So enjoy this, take advantage of it…you have a lot of potential, a lot of upside and just know that you have an entire sisterhood rooting and cheering for you guys and supporting you from afar. So just grateful for this gift to be able to come back,” said Hull.

While the player made her best efforts to inspire her college players ahead of the 2025-26 season, Caitlin Clark jokingly reacts to Hull’s inspiring appearance at Stanford. Both players share a special bond, dating back to the Iowa star’s arrival on the Fever team in 2024. With the forward entering free agency, many fans are eager to see them on the hard court playing for the Indiana franchise.
