It’s been anything but quiet in Trump world lately. Between raging social media posts and public squabbles, President Donald Trump continues to dominate headlines. But this time, it’s not the commander-in-chief stirring controversy, it’s a rumor involving his son, Barron Trump, that’s putting the media attention on Melania Trump.

The First Lady is reportedly upset about rumors in the media that her 18-year-old son applied to and was rejected by Harvard University. But according to Melania’s spokesperson, that claim has no basis in fact.

“Barron did not apply to Harvard,” Nick Clemens, spokesperson for the Office of the First Lady, said in a direct statement. “Any assertion that he, or that anyone on his behalf, applied is completely false.” The strong denial comes amid online chatter and media whispers that Harvard turned down the youngest Trump child.

Barron, who recently completed his freshman year at New York University, is studying business and keeping a relatively low public profile. Melania has praised her son for his maturity and insight, particularly when it comes to politics and digital culture.

In a December interview on Fox & Friends, she said, “I’m very proud of him about his knowledge, even about politics and giving an advice to his father. He knows his generation—because nowadays the young generation, they don’t sit in front of TV anymore. They’re all on the tablets. They’re on the phones.”

While Donald Trump continues to fire shots at political rivals and business leaders, most recently Elon Musk, Melania has remained focused on her family, especially Barron. Sources close to the family say she remains fiercely protective of her son and does not appreciate false narratives around his future.

As for Barron, he appears to be settling into life at NYU, with his first year now behind him. Although his future path remains uncertain, but for now, his mother is making it clear that she won’t let rumors go unchecked.

And in a political environment where personal attacks often bleed into family matters, Melania Trump seems determined to draw a firm line when it comes to her son
