Mom, didn’t you tell me you drank milk while pregnant? Who’s the father? The biggest question of Ginny and Georgia season 3 has been answered

Ginny & Georgia

Season 3 of “Ginny & Georgia” had plenty of twists and turns, including a shocking cliffhanger.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for season 3 of “Ginny & Georgia.

The Netflix show’s third season hit the streaming platform on Thursday, June 5. During the finale, Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey) discovered that she’s pregnant for real after faking a pregnancy earlier in the season.

The reveal came when Georgia began drinking milk straight from the carton. Her teenage daughter, Ginny (Antonia Gentry), remembered Georgia saying she craved milk while pregnant with her.

“Mom, didn’t you say you drink milk when you’re pregnant?” Ginny asked, as shock registered on Georgia’s face.

While a milk craving isn’t as definite as a pregnancy test, “Ginny & Georgia” creator Sarah Lampert confirmed to Netflix’s Tudum that Georgia is in fact pregnant.

Further complicating the unplanned pregnancy is the fact that Georgia can’t be sure who the father is. She was recently involved with both her ex Paul Randolph (Scott Porter) and her new love interest Joe Singh (Raymond Ablack).

Fans will have to wait until season 4 to officially find out who the father is, but Ablack is rooting for it to be Joe.

“In my heart, Joe is the father. But I don’t know. I have no idea,” he told Us Weekly. “I’m as eager for episode 1 of season 4 as everyone else is to find that truth.”

The “Ginny & Georgia” cast might be in the dark, but Lampert and the writers have discussed the paternity mystery at length.

“When we entered the season 4 writers’ room, I knew unequivocally without a doubt whose baby it was,” Lampert told Us Weekly. “I came into the writers’ room and I said, ‘Here’s whose baby it is. Change my mind.’”

Lampert said that the writers’ room was “utterly divided” on who the father should be, but ultimately came to a decision.

“There’s pros and cons story wise to both, but there’s one clear answer, and I’m not going to say what it is,” Lampert teased.

As for what the fans think, many viewers think the baby will be Paul’s

“The baby clearly is going to be Paul’s,” one person commented on a Reddit thread discussing season 3.

“I think it will probably be Paul’s too,” another viewer chimed in.

A third fan noted in a separate Reddit thread that it’s very “Ginny & Georgia” to throw a wrench in Georgia and Joe’s relationship as soon as it starts working out for them.

“[The baby is] Paul’s. … With [the] plot lines for the show there is no way they are going to have it be Joe’s already. It will be Paul’s to complicate the plot of Georgia and Joe finally working out and to add the drama of her having to tell Paul she is pregnant a second time,” the viewer wrote.

Earlier this season, Georgia lied to Paul and told him she was pregnant with his baby to prevent him from leaving her during her murder trial. She showed him Ginny’s positive pregnancy test as evidence. Ginny ultimately decided to have an abortion.

“Ginny gets pregnant, Georgia fakes a pregnancy, and then Georgia really gets pregnant, and we don’t know who the dad is,” Lampert told Tudum of season 3. “And when you say these things out loud, you’re like, ‘What in the world is this show?!’
