Nancy Lieberman Lashes Out At Jeff Teague For Caitlin Clark Comments

It all started with a July episode of the ‘Club520’ podcast. Appearing on the show, Teague stated that Clark might not be as good as her fans claim. He also stated that the winning streak of the Fever without Clark shows that she is not the best athlete on the team. Instead, he namedropped Kelsey Mitchell as Fever’s best bet. And this is something that Lieberman did not agree with.

Speaking on the topic, the WNBA legend lashed out at Teague. She stated that although Lieberman loved Teague, he was not a great player. Instead, the 67-year-old termed Teague as a ‘serviceable’ athlete, despite winning the NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021.

“Jeff said that she’s good, but she’s not that good. I love you; you weren’t a great player, okay, you were serviceable,” Lieberman said of Teague. “I know you made the All-Star team one time. Sorry, if we’re gonna be honest, I’m happy for your career. But she is great.”

Teague also criticized Clark for her over-dependence on shooting three-pointers. He accused her of wildly going for threes from the halfcourt. Meanwhile, with the injury bothering the 23-year-old significantly, coach Stephanie White had some important updates to share.

Stephanie White Puts An End To Caitlin Clark Injury Speculations 

The Iowa native has missed quite a lot of games now. With three different injuries hampering the 23-year-old, Clark has missed 16 games so far. And during her recently incurred groin injury, the Fever star has sat out for 21 days. This has led to fans speculate about her probable return timeline. Thankfully, coach Stephanie White came up with a clarification.

“She is day-to-day right now. We are really not putting a timetable on it. Going through the rehab process, and then we want to reintegrate her from the strength and conditioning standpoint. And then taking her to the basketball activities. We are taking it one day at a time,” White said on NBA TV (Via X/@kenswift).

Thus, it is evident that the team will not be taking any risk with Clark. However, with things looking a bit clearer now, fans would wait to see when the WNBA phenom makes her return. Hopefully, then, she might ultimately be able to answer back to her critics.
