Before hitting the DWTS ballroom this season, Elaine was most known for her roles as Meredith Blake in The Parent Trap and Alexis Carrington in the 2017 reboot of Dynasty.

However, most of her roles in recent years have been on smaller, more independent projects.

That seems to be changing, as The U.S. Sun has learned that multiple TV shows that are being made for top streaming platforms have their eyes set on casting Elaine.

“She’s essentially getting her second wind and second shot at a big acting career,” an insider close to the actress told The U.S. Sun.

“She’s maintained work throughout the years, but besides Dynasty, all of her projects have been smaller scale.

“Since being on Dancing With the Stars, and quite frankly just shining on the show, she has really caught the eyes of some big Hollywood agents and producers.

“Now, she’s being considered and pitched for multiple Hulu shows, some new and some for upcoming seasons of existing shows.

“And there is also an upcoming HBO Max series that is eyeing her,” the source added.

In addition to upcoming TV projects, a potential Parent Trap sequel could also be in Elaine’s future as she’s kept in contact with the film’s director, Nancy Meyers.

“Also, she’s been in touch with Nancy. Nothing official is in the works with Nancy, but Elaine has been vocal that she would return to The Parent Trap in a heartbeat.

“And she recently reunited with Lindsay [for Freakier Friday], so they are all talking more again. The sequel is not off the table.

“They all feel now is the best time to strike.

Elaine made the stepmom role of Meredith Blake legendary when she starred in The Parent Trap in 1998.

Her other notable roles include Lisa in Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion and Alexis in 57 episodes of the CW drama, Dynasty.

Most recently, Elaine made a surprise cameo in the reboot, Freakier Friday, alongside her Parent Trap co-star, Lindsay Lohan.

Previously, Elaine said she would jump at the opportunity to work with Nancy again and reprise her role “in a heartbeat.”

She even reprised Meredith Blake over the Summer in an off-Broadway spinoff of The Parent Trap, titled Ginger Twinsies, from producer Kevin Zak.

However, despite mass fan demand, an official sequel or reboot of the beloved Disney film has not yet been announced.

DANCING WITH THE STARS SEASON 34 CAST

Dancing With the Stars is back with an all new season – and new celebrity faces to compete for the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. Check out the stars and professional dancers who will be gracing the dance floor with their moves for season 34.

PUT ON YOUR DANCING SHOES

Elaine was announced as a contestant on season 34 of DWTS and called it a “dream come true” after growing up as a dancer.

However, an injury in her younger years squashed her dancing goals, and Elaine pivoted to acting.

Despite her previous injuries, Elaine has shone bright on this season of the dance competition alongside partner Alan Bersten.

Not only has her talent been praised by viewers, but her infectious energy has also made her a fan-favorite.

“I am 54, I am injured, and I just did that,” Elaine yelled out in the ballroom following one of her tougher dances.

She’s gone on to vocalize how appreciative she is for the experience, saying in a post-show interview: “I’m doing all of this certainly for myself, for Alan, for my friends and family.

“But for everyone who is out there supporting, who has their own dream and their own path that maybe they had to give up on.”
