As we all know, Karmelo Anthony has been charged with murd3r in connection with a fatal track meet st𝐚bbing.
The 18-year-old, who was released from custody earlier this year after posting a $250,000 bond, is charged with murd3r in connection with the fatal st𝐚bbing of Austin Metcalf. Karmelo of Centennial High School was released from jail on bond after lawyers reduced his bail from $1 million, but his freedom might be temporary.
In the midst of this fight for his life was a “Help Karmelo Official Fund” being set up and garnering more than $530,000 in donations from across the country.
There has been little news about the case in recent weeks, but that certainly changed this month with the release of the footage showing the apparent altercation between the two teenagers.
Unfortunately, the footage has not been released to the public, but it was shown to select media members, and we got some inside details about it from the Daily Mail.
Nobody had a clue that a high school track meet at David Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco, Texas, would turn so tragic.
MARYANN MARTINEZ of Daily Mail was granted access to surveill𝐚nce footage of the de𝐚dly incident between then-17-year-old Karmelo Anthony and 17-year-old Austin Metcalf.
Per the report:
“The 40-minute surveill𝐚nce video, recorded from a stationary camera on the opposite side of the football field, captures the 10 minutes leading up to the attack and the desperate efforts by Metcalf’s twin brother and others to save his life before paramedics arrived.”
The original reports state that Metcalf, a student at Memorial High School, was st@bbed after confronting Anthony, who attended Centennial High School, about sitting under the tent of a team he was not affiliated with.
The footage stated a different story.
“However, the footage reviewed by the Daily Mail at the Frisco Independent School District’s headquarters shows no obvious physical confrontation between the two prior to the st𝐚bbing.
The Daily Mail did not detect anything that indicated chaos was about to ensue.
Captured by a high-angle camera positioned near the press box and typically used for football broadcasts, the footage shows the tent at the top left of the screen.
Students are seen sitting idly beneath it, waiting for the competition to start.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, it becomes apparent that the moment has happened when an armed Anthony attacked Metcalf.”
The publication stated that Karmelo Anthony’s st𝐚bbing of Metcalf was not visible on camera, but students were spotted fleeing the area after the attack.
“Moments later, at least two people can be seen carrying an injured Metcalf down the bleachers to a walkway at the bottom of the seating area.
More individuals, including some adults, are seen rushing to his side to help.
As rain begins to fall again, Metcalf is visibly cradled in the arms of his twin brother, Hunter, bleeding heavily as they await emergency medical services.”
Daily Mail stated that the surveill𝐚nce reviewed appears to challenge the self-defense claim, offering little visible evidence that Anthony was in immediate danger before the attack.

Karmelo Anthony, the teen accused of fatally st𝐚bbing Frisco Memorial High School athlete Austin Metcalf during a track meet in early April, clearly put in the work while at school.
Social justice organization Next Generation Action Network (NGAN) said Anthony met all the academic requirements to graduate.
The organization said his 3.7 GPA and completion of all graduation requirements mean he could graduate without attending the final month and a half of the academic year.
What happens with the remainder of his life will be up to a Texas court.

NBC dropped a huge announcement when they roped in the services of Michael Jordan. With the league returning to the network next season, NBC is said to have some big plans with the Chicago Bulls legend. While it is clear that he will be a part of the overall coverage, the media outlet has remained tight-lipped about the same. Till now, it was only known that Jordan will be acting as a ‘special contributor’ for NBC. But now, there might be some shocking details emerging.
Speaking on the topic, Alex Sherman of ‘CNBC’ provided some insight into the matter. He pointed out that the preliminary plans for Jordan are to appear in taped segments. This way, Jordan will be providing analysis on the games. These tapes are expected to be aired either at halftime or at the end of each game.
Sherman also pointed out that NBC will also keep the opportunity for Jordan’s role to evolve in the future. Extending the topic further, ‘CNBC’ also reported that the deal with Jordan was orchestrated by none other than his longtime friend, Jon Miller. Meanwhile, after landing such a huge deal, it is quite expected that Michael Jordan will be elated.
