The internet can be your best friend or worst enemy, and Shannon Sharpe is discovering the dark side of fame.

A woman filed a lawsuit in Nevada on Sunday, accusing Sharpe of r@ping her twice.

The civil complaint alleges Sharpe “violently s3xually assaulted and anally r@ped Plaintiff” in October 2024 and again in January of this year in Las Vegas, Nevada, “blatantly ignoring her requests for him to stop.”

The suit states: “After many months of manipulating and controlling Plaintiff — a woman more than thirty years younger than he — and repeatedly threatening to brutally choke and violently slap her, Sharpe refused to accept the answer no and r@ped Plaintiff, despite her sobbing and repeated screams of ‘no.’”

Shannon Sharpe’s attorney, Lanny J. Davis, said the woman is attempting to blackmail his client and that the pair’s relationship was consensual and “s3xual in nature — and, in many cases, initiated by her with specific and graphic requests.”

In the meantime, social media is having fun at his expense.

Somebody created a short, animated movie about the things going on in his life using real audio.

The first part shows Sharpe in his interview with Katt Williams. The next part was the real audio between Sharpe and his accuser, where he stated he would choke her in public.

Shannon Sharpe Stepping Away From ESPN

Shannon Sharpe said Thursday that he will “step aside temporarily” from his duties at ESPN in the wake of a $50 million lawsuit accusing him of r@pe.

The 56-year-old said he needs time away from the studios to fight allegations that he called “false and disruptive.”

“At this juncture, I am electing to step aside temporarily from my ESPN duties,” he said in a statement.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer concluded by thanking his “family, fans, friends and colleagues” for their support.
