Former NFL star wide receiver Steve Smith became the main topic of social media earlier this year when a furious man exposed him for sleeping with his wife and breaking up their marriage.
Smith, a former All-Pro and Pro Bowler, found himself being confronted on a phone call by the man, as Tony Martinez on X aired him out on the call after he first shared screenshots of a supposed raunchy conversation between Smith and his wife.
A voice on the other end of that infamous call was heard saying, “I’m sorry,” in a subdued tone.
Smith, a five-time Pro Bowler, currently works as an analyst for NFL Network.
Steve Smith was an absolutely dominant wide receiver and one of the best trash-talking ones that the league had ever seen. This situation, however, left him silent. He wouldn’t speak on it.
It took a few months, but the former wideout has finally broken his silence.
While the fiery former wideout has acknowledged feeling remorse, don’t expect to hear an apology anytime soon.

Smith Sr. said he refuses to apologize after he was publicly accused of having an affair with a married woman earlier this year.
During the latest installment of “The Pivot” podcast, Smith spoke about the conversation that he had with his children after Anthony Martinez accused him of sleeping with his wife, Nicole.
“I still and won’t release any apology because I don’t need to apologize on a private matter to a whole bunch of strangers,” Smith said when asked by Ryan Clark how he handled the matter with his ex-wife and children.
“I grew up old school, mind your business. We could be neighbors, but don’t bring your ass to my yard knocking on my door talking about what’s going on. Because you ain’t going to like who and what’s in the hand of the person that’s opening the door.”
Smith married his wife, Angie, during his senior year at the University of Utah in 2000.
“So, people have their comments,” Smith continued.

“Here’s what I can guarantee you. I gave authority to my kids. I ain’t going to never say nothing bad about their mother. Ain’t got to. And they got authority from me. Check me. So I’m never going to mention or say what is or isn’t because for a whole bunch of strangers that are watching this with their opinion, it don’t really matter because you don’t know.
“What I won’t do, is I won’t explain myself – because I was wrong. But I also won’t defend myself. And I’m not going to walk around apologizing to everybody because that ain’t how it’s supposed to work. All I can really do is allow time to take its course.”
Martinez — whose wife is a member of the Marching Ravens, the Baltimore Ravens music group — sued Steve Smith under North Carolina’s “home-wrecker law” over the alleged affair, according to what the Charlotte Observer reported.
Martinez is demanding over $100,000 from Smith in a civil lawsuit in North Carolina’s Mecklenburg County Superior Court.

A shockwave ripped through Detroit when Alec Baldwin torched Jesse Watters during a live panel — mocking him, interrupting him, and even calling him “stupid” on-air. The room went silent. The clips went viral. And within hours, Baldwin’s world collapsed: five major sponsors gone overnight, wiping out an estimated $86 million in deals. But the real explosion hit when Watters fired back — a sharp, controlled strike that insiders say “changed the tone instantly.” Sources now confirm Baldwin is staring down a possible $50 million lawsuit — a legal hit that could eclipse the career damage entirely. Industry execs are calling this “one of the most aggressive responses Hollywood’s seen in years,” with political media circling the story like blood in the water. The backlash isn’t slowing, the stakes keep rising, and Baldwin’s team is scrambling to contain a fire that’s already blown past containment. This isn’t a feud anymore — it’s a full-scale meltdown with real consequences.
