Karmelo Antony has been indicted on a first-degree murd3r charge resulting from the stabbing D̲3a̲t̲h̲ of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf in April.

Anthony, who was 17 himself at the time, has confessed to stabbing Metcalf to D̲3a̲t̲h̲ during a track meet in Frisco, Texas, and is facing five to 99 years in prison if found guilty.

His attorney claims the teenager is looking forward to his day in court.

Karmelo, now 18, has been officially entered into the court system, with District Attorney Greg Willis having presented evidence to a grand jury and recommended a first-degree murd3r charge.

“Today, I summarized that evidence, and I asked the Grand Jury to return a first-degree murd3r indictment against Karmelo Anthony — which they did,” Willis said.

He added:

“With that indictment, the case now moves formally into the court system. From this point forward, we’ll continue doing our part — fully and fairly — to pursue justice under the law. The trial schedule will be set by the court. But when the time comes, we’ll be ready.”

Willis acknowledged that the case is being closely followed by the Collin County community, which has been greatly impacted. However, he has urged people to trust that the justice system will extract the truth.

Austin’s father, Jeff Metcalf, was happy with the decision and believes that justice will be served.

“I am pleased that we are moving forward. With the first-degree murd3r indictment, it now goes into the court system. I fully believe that justice will be served for Austin Metcalf. I look forward to the forthcoming trial. But it will never bring my son back,” he said.

Karmelo Anthony’s attorney, Mike Howard, said the charge was expected and that the defendant and his family are confident that the justice system will be fair.

“Karmelo and his family are confident in the justice system and the people of Collin County to be fair and impartial,” Howard stated. “Of course, Karmelo looks forward to his day in court.”

Anthony was arrested and charged with murd3r following Metcalf’s D̲3a̲t̲h̲ His bond was initially set at $1 million but was eventually reduced to $250,000.

A trial date has not been set.

Clint Eastwood turned 95 recently, but it hasn’t been an easy year for the legendary actor and director.

On Tuesday, fans across the country poured out messages of support as news spread about his recent struggles. Eastwood has been mourning the sudden D̲3a̲t̲h̲ of his longtime partner, Christina Sandera, who passed away from a heart attack earlier this year.

The Hollywood icon has kept a low profile since her passing. For fans who’ve followed his career for decades, seeing Eastwood go through this personal loss has struck a chord. Though the actor has rarely been seen in public in recent months, his son Scott Eastwood shared a welcome update that gave many people a reason to breathe a little easier.

Scott Eastwood, in a recent interview, reassured fans that his father is holding up. “He’s doing good,” he said. “He’s a survivor, a trouper. He was born coming out of the Great Depression, and then he was young during World War II. He saw a lot of struggle.” That perspective seems to be carrying Eastwood through yet another chapter of hardship.

Supporters didn’t hesitate to show their love. Social media lit up with tributes, memories, and heartfelt messages. Many highlighted not only his contributions to film but also his resilience as a person.

“There are literally hundreds of reasons why a man doesn’t get better with age,” one fan posted on X.

Another fan commented, “HE IS NEVER GONNA STOP!!!!”

Another fan chimed in, “I hope he blesses us with his presence for many more years!”

Photographs from December 2018 show Eastwood attending the premiere of The Mule with Sandera by his side. The two had been together for years, and her sudden loss clearly left a mark on him. Though the grief remains, Eastwood isn’t ready to slow down completely. In an interview with Kurier on May 30, he reflected on aging with intent. “There’s no reason why a man can’t get better with age,” he said. “And I have much more experience today. Sure, there are directors who lose their touch at a certain age, but I’m not one of them.”

Clint Eastwood, who has eight children- Laurie, Kimber, Alison, Francesca, Kyle, Kathryn, Scott and Morgan- continues to lean on family during this time. For fans, the hope is simple: that he keeps creating, keeps going, and, most of all, keeps finding strength in the days ahead.
