The incident reportedly occurred earlier this summer, before the start of the upcoming NBA season. In a post that has gone viral, she wrote, “@deandreayton security left me outside in the middle of nowhere in Turks and Caicos bc I won’t have sex with him.”

Right now, DeAndre Ayton has not made any public comment addressing the accusation. At 26, he recently signed a two-year, $16 million deal with the Lakers following a contract buyout from the Portland Trail Blazers. Reports indicate the Blazers were dissatisfied with his behavior.

However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.
