Fans of ABC’s hit dancing competition show Dancing with the Stars were complaining about a strange audio glitch within the first few minutes of the emotional Dedication Night.
Dedications Night saw the remaining 10 contestants perform routines dedicated to special people in their lives, and Season 34’s installement was no less emotional than previous seasons. However, for the first time ever, the people who were honored accompanied the contestants on the dance floor.
While some paid tribute to family members, others chose to honor co-stars. Jen Affleck and Robert Irwin chose to honor their mothers while Danielle Fishel and Elaine Hendrix chose to pay tribute to past co-stars.
However, as hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough introduced the episode and guest judge Kym Johnson, fans could hardly hear above the audience.
They took to Reddit to complain about the audio issue, with one person writing, “Why is the crowd so loud? Turn up the mics please.”

Another fan raged, “What is going on with the audio???” as a third said, “The canned crowd noise is way too loud tonight.”
Yet another complained, “is the audio trippy for anyone else.”
Andy Richter was the first of the night and dedicated his salsa, which was set to Jump in the Line by Harry Belafonte, to his daughter, Cornelia.
In his intro, the comedian explained he didn’t think he was having any more kids after raising his two adult children, but he welcomed Cornelia when he met his current wife, single mom Jennifer Herrera.
He adopted Cornelia and said their dance together is “absolutely the highlight of my time here.”
“The bond Andy and Cornelia have fills my whole heart,” Jennifer told the cameras.

Cornelia joined Richter and pro Emma Slater at the end of their dance, which wowed judge Johnson, who praised the way the trio kicked off the night.
Judge Derek Hough commended the dance for being lighthearted and Richter later joked to his sister that Cornelia can dance better than him.
Robert Irwin was next and he made fans at home balling their eyes out as he and pro Witney Carson danced a contemporary dance to You’ll Be In My Heart by Phil Collins.
The wildlife conservationist dedicated the routine to his mother, Terri Irwin, who raised him and his sister, Bindi, after their father Steve Irwin died.
Fans took to social media to express that Dedication Night would be incredibly emotional only minutes into the episode.
