Recently, Siwa shared a surprise for fans on social media. In a social media post, she showed off a ring she received from Hughes. Calling it “beautiful,” she wrote in a subtitle, “I am so grateful and just obsessed. Never had anything from here before. He got me this ring and it’s just perfect!!!”

In the comments, fans noted that this was likely a promise ring, also known as a pre-engagement ring. Traditionally, they are followed by a formal engagement ring, a wedding ring, and an eternity ring.

Fans also noted the brand, with many recognizing it as a Cartier “Love” ring. The design appeared to have a screw motif, which represents everlasting love.

Given the timing, many suspect that the ring was also likely a Christmas present. On the other hand, many felt that Chris and JoJo probably wouldn’t want a Christmas proposal, with them previously sharing that something like that would be too obvious.

This was in reference to a joint interview that Siwa and Hughes had with The Sun. “You always get people who get engaged on Christmas morning. You see it on Instagram—every year, you’re gonna see somebody who gets engaged. I like the idea of it not being at a time where it could be expected.”

The couple also discussed their Christmas plans. At the time, the international couple shared they would be splitting time between the Cotswolds and Los Angeles, spending the week before the holiday with Siwa’s family. Previously, they celebrated their first holiday in the Bahamas.
