Look, the NBA offseason hasn’t even fully heated up, and we’re already talking about LeBron James trades. Yep, it’s that kind of summer in Los Angeles.

Depending on how LeBron takes the Lakers’ next few roster moves or lack thereof, Rob Pelinka might need to brace for impact. If LeBron doesn’t see a real shot at a title, the team may have no choice but to explore trade options. And one of the wildest potential moves? Sending LeBron to Dallas, where Luka Doncic could link back up with a familiar face.

Klay Thompson, now a Maverick on a three-year, $50 million deal, and Daniel Gafford, who just re-signed for $54 million, could be part of a blockbuster swap that ships LeBron to Dallas. It sounds wild, but the framework isn’t as far-fetched as it looks, according to Heavy.

Dallas made it to the Finals in 2024, but running it back without a healthy Kyrie Irving may not be enough. Thompson gives them spacing. Gafford brings bounce and rim protection. But LeBron? He brings experience, playmaking, and a scoring punch they could use badly with Kyrie recovering from a torn ACL.

LeBron also shot 37.6% from deep last season on nearly six attempts a game. Not exactly Klay’s clip in his prime, but it’s efficient, and he adds way more in transition and half-court creation. Dallas would also be reuniting LeBron with another old pal: Anthony Davis, now the Mavericks’ starting big man after last season’s stunner of a trade.

Meanwhile, the Lakers would land two players who fit nicely with Luka Doncic. Gafford can rim-run and protect the paint, while Thompson can space the floor and hit shots off Luka’s kickouts. It’s a setup that could keep L.A. competitive, even post-LeBron.

Salary-wise, it’s tricky. Gafford and Thompson make a combined $33.9 million next season. LeBron’s number sits at $52.6 million. The gap is big. Tossing in P.J. Washington’s $14.15 million expiring contract could balance things, but Dallas might not want to give up his size and versatility, too.

That’s where a third team could come in. It isn’t very easy, yes. But if both sides want to chase banners, and not just hold on to aging stars and mismatched lineups, a LeBron trade could shock the league. Again.

Reese has answered those questions with a beautiful photoshoot in collaboration with Vogue. Reese did a photo shoot with the brand and announced that she would be declaring for the WNBA draft.

Reese expressed her thoughts about the decision on her official X (formerly Twitter) account. “Making my announcement with VOGUE was ICONIC. In the new world that I am stepping into, just believe in me, trust in me, and give me time to learn and grow!” said Reese in the post. She thanked her supporters for their support and love and also asked them to trust her in her new journey.
