Dan Orlovsky’s MVP take gone wrong.
Fans across the NFL are calling for Dan Orlovsky to be banned after his latest MVP take. The ESPN analyst upset many viewers by saying Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford are “neck-and-neck” in the MVP race.
Orlovsky made the remarks Monday on ESPN’s Get Up. He argued that Allen deserves just as much MVP attention because of how important he is to the Bills. He pointed to team situation and roster help. Many fans disagreed and felt the comparison went too far.
Stafford enters Week 16 as the clear MVP favorite for many fans. The 37-year-old Rams quarterback is having a huge season. He has completed 66.4 percent of his passes, thrown for 3,722 yards, and added 37 touchdowns with only five interceptions.
Allen is still in the MVP conversation. He recently led Buffalo to a win over New England with 193 passing yards, 48 rushing yards, and three total touchdowns. Orlovsky used that performance to support his argument, but fans were not buying it.
“It’s the worst team as far as 1-53 that he’s had,” Orlovsky said on “Get Up.” “I would put him and Matthew Stafford right now neck-and-neck for the MVP.”

NFL fans criticised him a lot. Many questioned Orlovsky’s role as an MVP voter. Some accused him of pushing a personal agenda.

“Dan Orlovsky gotta have that MVP vote taken away bruh,” one fan wrote.
Another fan raised concerns about timing. “MVP voters shouldn’t be allowed to actively campaign for a certain player to win it when the season is still far from over,” the fan said.
Others went further. “Who pays dan for these takes like fr lol im really starting to think he gets paid by buffalo for these narratives,” one user posted.
Some fans challenged Orlovsky’s football logic. “Josh Allen has the best OL in football and best run game to help him out and he still finds ways to be AWFUL for 3/4th of the football game,” a fan argued.
Orlovsky already faced MVP debate before. He revealed that he voted for Allen in the 2024 MVP race. Allen won that award with 27 of 50 first-place votes over Lamar Jackson. Orlovsky explained his thinking at that time.
“The value that the player brought to their football team. The Bills were the No. 2 seed, Josh had a 40-touchdown, eight-turnover, 14-sack season. The Bills didn’t have an elite defense,” Orlovsky said. He praised Lamar Jackson’s season too. He still chose Allen for value.
Just a few months ago, the NFL banned Dan Orlovsky from posting certain content on his X account. And now, fans do not want opinions and want him banned. It seems the time is not in favour of Orlovsky as of now.
