Michael Bublé Slips Up, Hints He’s Leaving The Voice

Michael Bublé was not at his best during the recent finale of The Voice. Fans worried for his health after he sounded “off” during one of the live performances. His comments to his contestant sparked speculation that his time as a coach on The Voice is over. “I wrote you last night, I told you you are the light … this is it. This is my last time here,” he told her. Despite winning Season 26 and 27, Team Bublé was not victorious in Season 28. Aiden Ross from Team Horan took the top prize. Now, it seems the coach won’t be back for another season.

Real Reason For His Exit

The coaches for Season 29 have already been set. Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend return for a “Battle of Champions” season beginning on Monday, February 23, 2026. The Voice is allegedly looking to bring back Blake Shelton and more fan-favorite coaches for Season 30.

But Michael Bublé reportedly won’t be returning. A source spilled to The U.S. Sun the real reason for his departure. The singer primarily lives in his native Canada with his wife and four kids. He regularly travels to Los Angeles, California, for the reality competition. His desire to be a family man reportedly led to his decision to take a step back from The Voice.

“Michael wants to focus on his family and is going to try to be in Canada much more full-time. His kids need him and he doesn’t want to be a typical celebrity-dad that is MIA. He wants to truly be there, for his wife too,” a source close to the singer claimed.

The insider added, “He’s looking forward to leaving behind the chaos of Hollywood and the show’s filming schedule behind to focus on being home and being present. He can’t have both… being on the show and being there for his family full time.”

Who Might Replace Him?

Many fans of The Voice consider Michael Bublé to be one of the best coaches. Losing him could hurt the show’s ratings. But not if they bring in someone popular to replace him. Fans of the show took to social media with suggestions.

“I would really love to see a Christina Renaissance. Seeing her and Adam together again would be a blast!”
“Reba/ Nail/ Kelly/ Brooks & Dunn”
“I think Chris Stapleton would be a great addition as a new coach. Put him on a panel with Kelly, Niall, and either J HUD or Legend”
“I was thinking of Reba/ Nick/ Gwen/ Brooks & Dunn.”
“I’ve always wanted Miley and Alicia to come back…fingers crossed that could happen for 30 and beyond.”
“I found Snoop not only entertaining but a good coach. Remember His guy got to second place. I hope he comes back.“

There has been some speculation online that Snoop Dogg is also leaving The Voice. Tell us in the comments who you think should replace him and Michael Bublé if they both leave.
