For Caitlin Clark, 2025 has been a bit of a step back from the tremendous success that she achieved the year before. Given all the injuries that hounded her sophomore season in the WNBA, Clark is likely eager to turn over a new leaf and greet 2026 with a bang.

It appears that CC will indeed have something new in store for the new year, as an Instagram post by hair stylist Bella Grundy teases a transformation in Clark’s hair.

“All I want for Christmas is hair like CC #WishList #CaitlinClark,” Grundy wrote in the post’s caption.

The post shows a clip of a comb going through Clark’s hair. Adding to the intrigue is a comment from the Indiana Fever guard herself.

“Long hair 2026,” CC commented.

Notably, Grundy is based in West Des Moines, Iowa, which is Clark’s hometown. It’s also interesting to note that, when Clark rose to prominence as the star of the Iowa Hawkeyes and later the face of the Fever franchise, she was already sporting a rather long hair style.

Whatever Clark is planning with her physical look for 2026, her transformation will mark her renewed efforts to stand out in the WNBA. During the 2025 season, Clark’s potential MVP campaign was derailed by a quad strain and a groin injury. In total, CC played just 13 regular season games and missed the entirety of the Fever’s playoff run.

The WNBA, then, needs to watch out for the latest chapter in the growth of Clark, who is raring to reestalish her dominance in the league.

Meanwhile, fans who’ve been wanting to see CC back on the hardcourt have been treated to photos and clips of her participation in the recent Team USA camp.

One clip shows Clark running a full-court drill with her Fever teammate Aliyah Boston, along with Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, and Rickea Jackson.

This is an interesting sight to say the least, as Clark has competed against Bueckers under the bright lights of March Madness while she’s had a fierce rivalry with Reese in both the college and pro ranks.
