You won’t be “seeing” John Cena in the squared circle again.

Wrestling fans had plenty of reactions to John Cena’s final words as a WWE superstar before signing off for good.

John Cena concluded his illustrious career during “Saturday Night’s Main Event” in Washington, DC. The 17-time world champion lost to Gunther in a thrilling back-and-forth match via submission, closing the books on his historic run in the squared circle.

After the loss, Cena addressed the Washington crowd and the fans watching on live television. Before the broadcast ended, Cena looked at the camera and said, “It’s been a pleasure serving you all these years, thank you.”

John Cena then performed his signature saluting gesture before departing backstage.

The wrestling world had a lot to say after Cena’s final match and sendoff.

“Why end him on a loss!😭😭😭,” a fan wrote.

“No, John Cena. The pleasure was all ours. 😭 You carried this company on your back when nobody else could. Thank you for making our childhoods special,” said another.

“Cena retiring like a boss. Hollywood stole our invisible legend😭💪,” wrote a user.

“Nothing will ever be the same again,” a fan commented.

“Cena retiring feels the like series finale of WWE,” said another.

“He inspired us lot,” a fan added.

The 48-year-old John Cena retires with the most world championships ever. Cena broke the record he shared with Ric Flair by defeating Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, starting a short-and-sweet heel turn.

When Cena took over as the new face of the WWE in 2005, there was an insane amount of pressure. WWE had to move on from the Attitude Era earlier than expected, with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin retiring early and The Rock leaving for Hollywood.

Cena ultimately spent nearly a full decade as the top star in WWE. His inspirational journey, grade-A microphone skills, charisma and ability to connect with the audience set Cena apart from most other WWE legends.

We haven’t Cena work full-time in the WWE in more than a decade, but his retirement nonetheless leaves a giant void that won’t be replaced.

Despite the emotion in the air, Doncic delivered a dominant performance, scoring a game-high 45 points to lead the Lakers to a 112-97 win. It was a powerful return for one of the league’s brightest stars—and a night Dallas won’t soon forget
