NBA icon Michael Jordan got some disturbing news this week while yachting with his wife, Yvette Prieto, in Greece.

The six-time NBA champion is vacationing with his family and probably isn’t all that keen on discussing business.

Even so, he suffered a significant blow on Thursday as his 23XI Racing NASCAR team took a notable L in an ongoing lawsuit with the stock car racing league that could cost him a lot of money.

According to the Daily Mail, a federal judge rejected a request from the team and Front Row Motorsports to continue racing with charters while they fight NASCAR in court.

The abovementioned decision means the teams’ six cars will race as open entries at Dover this weekend and in Indianapolis next week. It could also carry over to other events and leave them at risk of going out of business.

Open entries are teams without charters that aren’t guaranteed starting spots and don’t receive the same amount of money as those with charters.

“We are disappointed that the court declined to grant 23XI and Front Row Motorsports a temporary restraining order to allow the teams to continue racing as chartered teams,” the teams’ lawyer Jeffrey Kessler said in a statement.

“We remain confident that our motion for a preliminary injunction is legally warranted and necessary, and we look forward to the court´s full review.”

Judge Kenneth Bell denied the request for a temporary stay, declaring that the outfits will still make the races over the next few weeks and aren’t at risk of losing drivers or sponsors before he rules on a preliminary injunction.

Michael Jordan was seen walking along Mykonos puffing on a cigar after getting off a motorboat. It wasn’t clear whether he had already become aware of the above at the time.
