JD Vance is laughing off those affair rumors…

The Vice President has been sparking romance rumors with Charlie Kirk‘s widow Erika Kirk ever since they went viral for an intimate hug and other gushing comments. His wife Usha Vance was then seen without her wedding ring, pouring gasoline on the fire that was divorce rumors! She’s insisted it meant nothing, but the rumors have persisted.

Well, on Friday in an interview published by NBC News, JD finally addressed all the controversy! Playing it cool, the 41-year-old urged:

“Our marriage is as strong as it’s ever been.”

He added that he and Usha “get a kick out of” the rumors. Really?? Opening up about the new spotlight on their marriage, he continued:

“With anything in life, you take the good with the bad. You accept that there are some sacrifices and there are some very good things that come along with it, too.”

He praised Usha for stepping into her new role as Second Lady, adding:

“I think Usha’s really taken to it. It’s been kind of cool to see how she’s developed and evolved in this new role.”

As for her whole missing wedding ring fiasco, he claimed he didn’t care about the drama at all. In fact, he was laughing and doesn’t think “it’s tough” to navigate rumors about his relationship! Seriously?! JD dished:

“She was like, ‘Oh, if I don’t go back and get them, there’s going to be some ridiculous psycho who talks about it on social media.’ And I was like, let them. It’s not even worth the trip to run back upstairs. So we actually have a little bit of fun with it. And we thought that whole viral social media cycle was kind of funny.”

Hmm. Even though it only fueled more affair chatter? He was totally fine with that?? Whatever you say, bro…

While he may not care what people think about his marriage, JD has a totally different perspective when it comes to raising his three children in the public eye, he noted:

“I think that there’s always a limelight on the kids, and that’s both good and bad. Our 8-year-old really doesn’t like it. He wants to have as private of a life as possible. When we come to an event in the White House and he sees the cameras, he doesn’t love it, and so we try to keep him out of that limelight as much as possible.”

He furthered:

“On the flip side, our 5-year-old, who’s a little bit more like me — he probably likes it too much. He loves the fact that wherever he goes, people treat him very specially.”

Of course, JD isn’t the first to address the romance rumors. Previously, Erika claimed her “love language is touch.” She was laughing off the controversy, too, and even gave Megyn Kelly an exact play-by-play of her thought process and what was said during the embrace!
