Kansas City ChiefsΒ wide receiverΒ Rashee Rice has reportedly been sentenced to 30 days in π‰πšπ’π₯ and five years’ probation for his role in a multi-car crash in 2024.

According to an affidavit obtained by the Dallas Morning News, Rice was driving a Lamborghini Urus and reached 119 mph 4.5 seconds before the collision.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Thursday that a Dallas County judge sentenced Rice to the π‰πšπ’π₯ time that can be served during the five-year probation. Schefter also noted β€œnow that the judge has ruled, the NFLΒ can expedite its disciplinary process and Rice is likely to receive a multi-game suspension.”

Rice has also paid restitution to the victims. Rice has already paid about $115,000 in restitution for their out-of-pocket medical bills.

The expectation is also that he will serve the coming NFL suspension during the 2025 campaign.

For his team, the Chiefs believe that Rashee Rice will be handed a suspension that could be anywhere from two to four games.

The 25-year-old Rice is entering his third NFL season after the Chiefs took him in the second round of the 2023Β NFL Draft.

He only played in four games in 2024 after suffering a season-ending LCL injury.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been sentenced to 30 days of π‰πšπ’π₯ time and five years’ probation for his role in a multi-car crash in Dallas, Texas, in 2024.

The Dallas County judge who issued the sentence ruled Rice’s π‰πšπ’π₯ time can be served during his five-year probation period.

It is likely Rice will also receive a multi-game suspension from the NFL, per Schefter.

Rice released a statement about the crash through his attorney.

β€œLast March, I was involved in a high-speed accident in Dallas. There have been a lot of sleepless nights thinking about the damages that my actions caused, and I will continue working within my means to make sure that everyone impacted will be made whole. I urge everyone to mind the speed limit, drive safe, and drive smart,” he said.

β€œLast and certainly not least, I am profoundly sorry for the physical damages to person and property. I fully apologize for the harm I caused to innocent drivers and their families.”

West said Rice is apologetic for what happened.

β€œWhen someone with Mr. Rice’s public platform chooses to drive so recklessly, there is a responsibility to acknowledge the danger posed to others and take accountability,” said Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot. β€œA vehicle in the wrong hands can be as dangerous as any weapon. We are extremely fortunate that no lives were lost that day, and Mr. Rice is fortunate to have walked away unharmed. We hope he takes this as an opportunity to mature and leads by example moving forward. I wish him the best in making safer choices.”
