Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark are inseparable. While the two Indiana Fever superstars pair is winning over the fanbase, some on social media are getting a little too nosy.

Other than a couple of top liners, Cunningham has gotten along best with Clark. And just for that reason, she has recently found herself in the middle of a controversial moment.

Cunningham recently shut a fan on the internet, and what followed quickly became its own headline, as she made sure her response left no room for misunderstanding.

Sophie Cunningham Claps Back At Fan On Caitlin Clark Comment

The Fever guard has been the prime protector for Clark. Be it from the opponents, the league, or the fans themselves. And she had to jump into the shoes for one more time.

Recently, a fan accused Cunningham of intentionally bringing up Clark to “force conversations” and chase attention.

“Sophie Cunningham, stop talking about CC challenge [IMPOSSIBLE],” the fan commented.

The accusation didn’t sit well with the Indiana Fever guard, who chose to respond directly rather than let the comment linger.

“Please stop asking/talking to me about her… IMPOSSIBLE,” Cunningham replied right back.

According to the comment section, Cunningham called the accusation unfounded and made it clear she wasn’t using Clark’s name for personal relevance.

Sophie Cunningham Calls Out Chiefs Drop In Dominance

While addressing fan criticisms was one moment, Cunningham also grabbed attention for an unrelated take involving the Kansas City Chiefs.

On her podcast, she discussed the team’s recent decline and didn’t sugarcoat her feelings. Cunningham described the Chiefs’ current form as underwhelming compared to their past dominance, saying fans now react to their performances with a “yawn.”

Her assessment centered on roster losses and diminished impact from the supporting cast, both of which she believes have contributed to the team’s slip.
