Sherrone Moore’s alleged mistress, Paige Shiver, switched on him.

The Michigan staffer, who was alleged to have been in an inappropriate relationship with Sherrone Moore, reportedly walked back her initial story ahead of his firing.

Moore was terminated by the university this Wednesday and remains in police custody after breaking into her house. No charges have been filed, but there are serious concerns over his mental health.

It appears Moore had been hiding in plain sight. A photo from 2024 should have given it away, but no one had any idea what was going on.

According to author and Michigan historian John U. Bacon, rumors about the alleged relationship had surfaced months ahead of the firing.

The mistress in the Sherrone Moore scandal has since been identified as Paige Shiver, who is also the daughter of an NFL front office member.

Bacon also revealed that the woman, who has not been named, was interviewed by Michigan in the summer. Both she and Moore are said to have denied that they were seeing each other.

For one reason or another, she changed her story on Wednesday morning, even showing text and email exchanges.

“Both said, ‘No how and no way’ anything was happening between them, which didn’t give UM much to go on,” Bacon said. “Her account flipped yesterday morning.”

Moore was dismissed in the afternoon, with the school wasting little time. He was summoned by athletic director Warde Manuel, who fired him in person.

Michigan won’t be forced to pay Moore’s $13 million buyout, given that he was fired for cause.

According to Bacon, the AD’s future is also uncertain on account of this latest scandal, as well as the previous ones.
